We don't re-derive the commodity. We differentiate one level up.
The basic agentic web-testing loop is already a commodity — for web alone. Testaumate doesn't re-derive it; we build on top, where the real value is: API authoring, healing you can measure, portable cases, cross-engine reach, and enterprise governance.
Where Testaumate earns its place
Two fronts we win on: a Test Management foundation the team trusts, and the agentic Author engine as the deep moat — backed by four more pillars.
A TM you'll live in
Before any agentic value lands, the team meets the Test-Management surface. Incumbents are feature-rich but cluttered; a clean, self-explanatory, low-friction TM is itself a differentiator — the gateway to adoption, not an afterthought. If TM doesn't earn trust, the moat never gets used.
API auto-authoring
Auto-authoring API tests from OpenAPI and specs is not commoditized. Generic web-only agent tools stop at the browser; this is our sharpest uncommoditized edge — the one capability the commodity loop simply doesn't have.
Self-healing, measured
Healing dependable enough to trust in CI, reported with precision, recall, flake rate and false-heal rate. Measured, never asserted — because a heal you can't measure is a heal you can't gate a build on.
Intent-carrying cases
Author once into a case that stores its intent — locator-intent plus oracle — so it can be healed and re-run across engines and surfaces. A portable asset, not a throwaway web script that rots on the next release.
Cross-engine, model-agnostic
An abstraction over Playwright, Selenium, Appium and a proprietary API engine, on Claude, GPT or open-source models. You pick the engine and the model; there's no lock-in to a single vendor's runtime.
Enterprise & on-prem
On-prem deployability, audit trails, RBAC and secrets isolation that open-source agent scripts don't provide. The Execution plane runs inside your boundary when compliance requires it.
Testaumate vs. generic web-only agentic tools
The commodity web loop is real and useful — for web. This is an honest map of where Testaumate reaches past it, not a claim that web authoring is unique to us.
| Capability | Testaumate | Generic web-only agentic tools |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-author API tests from specs | ✓ | Web-only — no API authoring |
| Auto-author responsive-web tests | ✓ | ✓ |
| Self-healing measured for CI | ✓ | Heals, but rarely measured |
| Intent-carrying, portable cases | ✓ | Throwaway per-run scripts |
| Cross-engine abstraction | ✓ | Bound to one engine |
| On-prem + governance | ✓ | Not provided |
| Clean test-management foundation | ✓ | No system of record |
Bring a spec or a URL. See where we reach past the commodity.
In a short session we'll author cases from your surface — including an API — break a locator, and let it heal. Then you decide.
